Concept of the Gallery

Classical Modernists and contemporary art

Our concept is to present the art of the 20th and 21th century in its full spectrum. For this reason, we are not only interested in one or two popular styles of art (with uncertain possibilities for development), but we represent artists in our collection who are compelling in their quality and expression. We are especially interested in German art that took place after the war suspended between figurative and abstract art. Our collection of artists reflects the diversity of the styles of the 20th and beginning of the 21st century. We include works of expressionists, abstract and nonrepresentational art, neo-expressionismus and the art group “Junge Wilde” (i.e. wild youth). In our section "Young Talents" and experimental works, we focus on modern art and the art of the future. We also carry modern sculptures as we appreciate the importance of contemporary sculptors of the 20th and 21st centuries.

Classical Art of the 19th and 20th Century:
In our rooms we also present traditional paintings of the second half of the 19th century and the 20th century. Our palette of proven styles, such as post impressionism and representational art. We would be pleased to help you in your search for a particular or unusual theme.
